Tired of shaving, tweezing and waxing to remove unwanted hair?

Our Diode 4D Laser Hair Removal is a simple, fast and effective way to remove your unwanted facial and body hair.

Permanently reducing excess or unwanted hair by up to 90%.

At Katy Body Sculpt Clinic, we are using one of the most powerful Diode 4D Laser device, that can be applied on 6 skin types and uses 4 wavelengths, to ensure superior results for all the different combinations of skin colour and hair types, multiple laser wavelengths are required.

Our Diode 4D Laser mixes the golden wavelength of 808nm for hair removal with the deeper penetrating 940m output, which can simultaneously emit different energies to meet the needs of various parts of the body. It can adjust the wavelength according to different skin tones and hair types.

940nm: Penetrates deep into the tissue and is absorbed by the target chromophore.

An average pulse duration, energy density, and epidermal cooling ensure sufficient thermal damage to the targeted tissue without damaging the surrounding tissue to achieve good hair removal.

1064nm: Specialised for dark skin types.

The 1064nm wavelength is characterised by lower melanin absorption, making it our choice of focused solution for darker skin types.

755nm: The widest range of hair types and colours.

The 755nm wavelength produces more powerful energy absorption by the melanin chromophore, this makes it ideal for the widest range of hair types and colours, especially light-coloured or thin hair.

808nm: Halving the treatment time.

This is the classic wavelength for laser hair removal, the 808nm wavelength means deep penetration of the hair follicle with high average power, allowing a high repetition rate, and a large spot size making for a fast treatment.

940nm: This wavelength penetrates deep and is absorbed by the target chromophore.

An adequate pulse duration, energy density, and epidermal cooling ensure sufficient thermal damage to the target tissue without damaging the surrounding tissue achieving good hair removal.

What is 4D Laser Hair Removal?

Laser Hair Removal is a popular medical procedure that reduces unwanted face and body hair using concentrated beams of light (a laser).

During a 4D Laser Hair Removal treatment, the laser emits light that is absorbed by the pigmentation (melanin) in the hair, this is converted into heat which damages the structures at the base of hair follicles that produce hair, preventing further hair growth.

After just 6–8 sessions, with 4–6 weeks in between each session, around 90% of hair will be gone forever.

Laser hair removal not only prevents hair regrowth, but also keeps your skin smooth and healthy. It’s of great help for those who suffer from ingrown hair or other skin irritation caused by shaving or waxing.

Our clients leave with a thorough treatment and have the excellent hair removal results they hoped to achieve.

Diode 4 D Laser Hair Removal Treatment:

BEFORE

Prior to the full treatment session, all patients must start with a consultation and skin patch test, to ensure your safety and suitability for treatment.

A laser hair removal patch test is the use of the laser carried out on a small area of skin, just as it will be in your full treatments. One of its main purposes is to determine what precise grade of laser energy is required to achieve the best results for your skin and hair type.

We advise our patients to avoid waxing, dying, bleaching, or threading their hair before the 4D Laser Hair Removal treatment. It is important to shave the treatment area the day before.

Please note that certain antibiotics can trigger hyperpigmentation. Contact us for further information prior to your appointment if you are being treated for an infection.

DURING

Our practitioner will carry out a thorough consultation and examination of the area to be treated. The skin will be cleansed and the areas to be targeted are marked with a pencil. We will set the laser to the appropriate settings for your skin and hair type and start the treatment. You may feel a little stinging or a warm sensation as the light pulses are applied to your skin. Depending on your requirements, the 4D Laser Hair Removal treatment time can range from five minutes up to an hour for a full-body treatment.

AFTER

Once the Laser Hair Removal treatment is finished, our practitioner will apply the treated area with aloe vera gel to keep it cool. We will give you general aftercare instructions but you are free to go back to your daily life immediately with no downtime. Skin redness and/or bumpy hair follicles may develop but will subside within 12–24 hours.
